Today’s Movie review of Soundtrack was a short review of Isle of Dogs, created by Wes Anderson with his second stop-motion film, Fantastic Mr. Fox. I genuinely mean it when I say that it’s a good film that carries on the stop-motion style and tone of Wes Anderson while doing something new with the animation, as well as telling a story about a pack of dogs helping a young boy to find his dog. There is a message about the relationship between dogs and humans, especially with its themes of propaganda and corrupted government. However, its writing has some noticeable flaws, but not to the point where it makes the film wrong. Despite not being the strongest, it is still an excellent film to watch, as it carries a good message and, at the very least, brings justice to its themes. (It could use a bit more diversity in the casting choice.
