Today’s review was Now You See Me, a film released in 2013 that centers around a cat-and-mouse chase between the detective and four thieves who excel in the art of magic through tricks and performances to captivate their audience while they rob a bank. It’s a film with a similar premise to films like Ocean Eleven but with magicians involved, and despite the creative turns that the film takes with its story, it’s mostly just an okay film, in my opinion, but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad. The cast they got really has interesting interactions with one another ( mostly with the Four Horsemen), the effects for the magic tricks are really spectacular with the special effects and how they are used to the thief’s advantage, and while the story is nothing new it still has that ability to keep the audience guessing as the film goes on. Overall it’s not one of the best films, but it is still a fun one to watch if you want to watch a heist film involving magicians.
