Doug Cress is the host of "PDX-Earth," the weekly environmental program that discusses global, regional and local issues, talks to thought leaders and experts, offers tips on reducing your carbon footprint and plays world music. Cress was an award-winning reporter at The Washington Post, Los Angeles Daily News and Atlanta Constitution newspapers, and later served in executive positions with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Pan African Sanctuaries Alliance (PASA), the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and Ocean Conservancy, working to protect wildlife and wild spaces. Cress has lived in Portland since 1996, and is co-author of the critically acclaimed book, "In My Family Tree: A Life with Chimpanzees."
