MARIS – Portland, OR 3/8/25

Outside Aladdin Theater in Portland, Oregon, fans were eagerly lined up around the block, dressed up in their best outfits fitting the themes inspired by Maude Latour. Inside the venue, fans packed into the small standing area in front of the seats to get up close and personal with opener MARIS. With upbeat pop songs, 80s inspired grooves, and vulnerable ballads, MARIS got the crowd moving and excited for the night ahead of them.

She danced around on stage, performing fan favorites and even shared a few unreleased songs. “Give Me A Sign,” which was released just under a week after the Portland show, got the crowd dancing around and pumped up. Throughout her performance, MARIS shared her experiences as a queer songwriter, singing lyrics that many in the crowd could relate to. Her song “Chameleon” had fans in awe, with her boldly sharing the insecurities and vulnerabilities you often feel when liking someone. Her raw vocals encompassed intense emotions, sharing her story of wanting to change herself in order to fit into someone’s mold. MARIS ended her performance with “Salt Water Taffy”, having the whole room stretch out their arms before waving them along with the music. MARIS fans to the right of the stage were seen screaming along with her, and she wasted no time making sure they were noticed.

It was beautiful witnessing her interact with new and old fans alike, having everyone sing along and be a part of the performance with her. It’s no doubt MARIS has such passion for music and performance, and knows how to rock a stage.
