Erykah Badu is an extraordinary talented and creative musician, that has created a fabulous album about the human connection to the telephone. Her first song “Caint Use My Phone” reminds of back in the day before the cellular phone, when people would knock on your door and would ask to use your phone. But, I am sure she is referring to a random guy asking her to use her phone. Using her seductive voice to incise; “I can make you put your Phone Down”, I wonder how she can make you put your phone down! Because we are all guilty of have our heads staring at our phones and missing the life that is occurring right in front of your face. The song “U Use to Call” oh yeah baby, you use to call me on your cellphone, such a sweet song. Mr. Telephone Man, y’all remember Mr. Telephone man would come to your house and fix your phone amongst other things… Busy with life “I’ll call you back, back, back”… you know how it is, I’ll call you back…. “Hello”a collaboration with Andre Benjamin, a sweet melody “Hello, Hello, Hello, hey hello, it’s me” a love song. The art allow is worthy of 10 stars!
