“The Backside”, Thursday Edition, June 29,2017

Written by on June 29, 2017

Opened the show with up-tempo tunes, “First Day of Love” by Jimi Jamison from off his solo album “Empires”, followed by Giant then a couplemid-tempo songs–one of my all-time favorites, Strangeways’ “So Far Away”, then Foreigner’s “I’ll Fight For You”.  In the Spotlight artist, Chicago followed by R&B/Pop artist, Brenda Russell.  A little country was thrown into the mix, some folk music–courtesy of pop/rock artist David Pack.  Finishing the show were two European-based bands–Sweden’s “Work of Art” and finally, Italian band Khymera–closing the show with their tune, “The Greatest Wonder”.

Information referring to the artists Chicago, Cheap Trick, Work of Art, and Khymera courtesy of Wikipedia online, the respective Facebook websites of Work of Art and Khymera.

Hope you enjoy the music and show.
