Imagine going to high school with members of your famous band and not knowing. That was the case for Michael Spearmen, who later called on peers Jonathon Higgs and Alex Niven. Spearmen was in college when he and Jeremy Pritchard decided to form a band. Spearmen immediately knew who to grab for the missing vocals, guitar, laptop, and drums, because he graduated with them previously. In 2006, they decided upon the name “Everything Everything,” inspired by the Radiohead song, “Everything in its Right Place”. We’ll be listening to their 2024 album, “Mountainhead”. It’s a conceptual album, where the world is wholly focused on building a giant mountain. Because of construction, the people have to dig a deep hole to live in, where they find a giant golden snake that they have to escape. See if you can taste the meaning of the metaphor during this album.
