Pointless Forest Stroll 7 (6/2/23)
Written by Maxwell Kline on June 4, 2023
WE’RE BACK AGAIN IN THE POINTLESS FOREST and this week we had the excellent pleasure to be joined by the author HMARS who read three of her beautiful and reminiscent pieces. More of her work can be found through the last couple printings of PATHOS LIT MAG, available online and in print!
For us humble low-down walkers she read: “Sediment of Words,” “Cabin,” and “House Like a Rosary.” The future of the Pointless Forest has more live poetry! STAY TUNED!
In the music department, this week we ate a little Nirvana Marigold sandwich, sitting melancholic in the Unplugged portion of the forest (WE DID NOT THROW ANY CHAIRS).
On our descent with Tokyo air (with the mighty fine folks over at The Books) we entered the the Dark Trees portion of the Forest. Eventually we joined up with Fiona Apple for an intimate gathering in a nice soft clearing with a gentle stream running seemingly all around us. This was when H Mars read her pieces. After, with an introduction from our friend Ira Glass, Fiona played her new rendition of Here We Have Idaho…
And everyone agreed… It was a lovely walk.
Hopefully you can meet us (right here where we left off!) for our next stroll, June 16th, from 8-10pm (PST).
Much Love,
DJ Maxwell and the rest

If you want to see where we went today, or revisit if you were there, I’ve compiled a playlist for you! (as always, w/some bonus tracks!) 🙂
