Left of the Dial: “In Olive Garden Da Vida”

Written by on October 23, 2018

Welcome back to the most preposterously titled radio show this side of the Willamette river, I’m your host Chris-R and we’ve got some primo bops to play. Ranging from the 50’s heyday of velvet crooners courtesy of Roy Orbison and The Platters, to supposed originators of the Shoegaze genre a whopping 20 years before it’s breakthrough (“All I Wanna Do” from the overlooked 70’s incarnation of The Beach Boys), absolutely inventive solo recordings from ex-RHCP guitarist John Frusciante, and an unmistakable guitar romp for the ages, the 12 minute sprawl of “Loan Me A Dime”, courtesy of dueling guitars from Boz Scaggs and Duane “Skydog” Allman and plenty other tunes that pack a real wallop.

So kick back and relax, you’re listening to Left of the Dial.
