Written by on April 14, 2018

Don’t fix your radio transistor for this one, kids. It’s time to do the time warp again into another time, the era of when AM Radio ruled the land! Left of the Dial host Chris-R kicks this week off with some swingin’ 70’s classics like Al Green, Blue Öyster Cult, and Harry Nilsson to put some real pep in your step. We then venture into some wilder territories beginning with New Wave outfit The Fixx and their bonafide MTV classic “One Thing Leads to Another”, whose title foreshadows our playlists new direction that comes equipped with the folkier sunshine sounds from our friends Paul and Linda McCartney with Wings and “Bip Bop”, along with others. Ending it all, is a trio of reinvented Southern charmers; Houston Grunge rockers Toadies, a wild and Soulful reimagining of Neil Young’s “Southern Man” from the wonderfully powerful vocalist of “Gimme Shelter” duetting fame, and closing it all off with a stunning reimagining of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Jimi Hendrix classic songs by The Isley Brothers. So get ready to smile away boys and girls and enjoy another episode of Left of the Dial.
