Left of the Dial: “Antarcticans, Thawed!”
Written by Left of the Dial on April 22, 2018
Another week, another chance to discover some great new tunes on Left of the Dial! This week starts with an explosive bang from our friends in The Who and the opening cut to their legendary performance on Live at Leeds, segueing into territory that spans from early MTV-flavored New Wave (Never Say Never –Romeo Void), 90’s Alternative Power-Pop (Third Eye Blind), dirty 70’s classic guitar rockers (Snortin’ Whiskey, Hot Smoke and Sassafrass), and a little bit of everything else in between (including a hidden cameo by Tool bassist Justin Chancellor in Peach, his band before joining Tool. It’s a trip!) So kick back and relax, it’s time to switch the radio to Left of the Dial. OH! And a Bluegrass cover of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, how could I almost forget…
