Last in Line Episode 5

This week we jumped into songs from March 12, 2011. Country, again, dominated the bottom of the charts. We heard songs from big names like Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, and Ronnie Dunn. It wasn’t all country, though. We had some of pop’s greatest hits like “Price Tag” by Jessie J, “Set Fire to The Rain” by Adele, and “Just Can’t Get Enough” by the Black Eyed Peas. My personal favorite from this week was “Boyfriend” by Big Time Rush, because how could it not be?
I was very excited to find several fun facts from this week. First, this was the week of Brazil’s infamous Carnival, with the main event on Sunday, March 6 of this week. It was a fun week for science as well with the space shuttle Discovery landed at Kennedy Space Center after 27 years of service. Richard B. Hoover’s paper on evidence found in samples from meteorite CI1 could have been a fun discovery, but NASA distanced itself from the scientist because the paper was not peer-reviewed. Finally, an original version of the King James Bible translation was found in Wiltshire, England, effectively becoming to coolest religious relic found in 2011.
