Last in Line Episode 12

This week’s playlist came from the July 20, 1985 Billboard Hot 100, aka the week after Live Aid. We kicked the show off with “We are the World” by U.S.A for Africa. We heard some other iconic songs, such as “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds and “Crazy for You” by Madonna. Check out the playlist and show recording below to hear the full vibe of the show.

On Saturday, divers found remains of the Spanish galleon Atocha, famous for its rich treasures that sunk off the Florida Keys in 1622. On Monday, the space shuttle Columbia returned to Kennedy Space Center. And, on Friday, Christa McAuliffe was chosen as the first teacher to fly in a space shuttle mission. She would sadly perish in the Challenger accident along with the six other crew members on board.
