My interview with Dr. Kacy McKinney, who explains her most recent collaborative project: Changing the Narrative: Collaborative Comics on Student Homelessness and Housing Instability.

I want to thank Dr. McKinney for her patience, presence, and eagerness to do this interview with me. I really wanted people to make it to the gallery while it was still open but was happy to hear that the First Presbyterian Church was going to be giving it a place for public view.

This was another interview where I felt a little nervous and unprepared for the topic but I’m happy with the end result.

CORRECTION:  In this interview, India Wynne is stated to work for Senator Merkley but they actually work for Senator Wyden.

I’d also like to thank Dr. McKinney for catching me on mispronouncing names. I’

For those of you who want to see the comics mentioned there will be a second printing sometime in the future through Street Roots, so keep your eyes peeled for that. As mentioned above Changing the Narrative: Collaborative Comics on Student Homelessness and Housing Instability will be on display Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3 through March 31 at the First Presbyterian Church, 610 SW 13th Ave, Portland. Free and open to the public. ADA accessible. There is an underground parking garage on-site that has an ADA-accessible entrance to the building.
