Why meditate?

Written by on December 7, 2019

This is Shakie and you are listening to the Show hanging in the balance, I am here to balance out your high paced weekdays with some relaxing meditative tunes every Saturdays 2 pm. Enjoy these tunes in your own space sitting in meditation, or just relaxing in your cozy bed.

In my opinion, this is one of the Ted talks which presents a question at our fundamental levels of existence ever presented. It talks about focus and distraction. Every thing begins and flourishes with focus. Taking the first step at a child to excelling in life later.

Mostly what I took from the Ted talk by Dandapani is how not to distract ourselves by doing one thing at a time. Distractions come directly from our two main senses eyes and ears. This is where our show Hanging of the balance, comes in.
Practice being away from distraction sitting in your own comfy space. Close your eyes mildly and pause that sense. The one thing at a time for this hour could be concentrating on the music, and engaging the other sense. Do not worry if the music is too slow or too fast. Let your mind dance and sway with it and let the music do its work.

See you next time!
