Mama’s Always Right
Written by Stevie on May 4, 2015
Because rock is such a male-dominated genre, it’s sometimes easy to forget how many great female rockers there are. I’ve used the term before, and this playlist warrants its use again (and again and again): the women who make it in rock tend to be complete, awe-inspiring powerhouses. As you’re probably coming to expect from me, I’ve transcended the bounds of strictly “classic rock” in today’s show, because there are certain artists I felt added to the experience of this playlist, because they all can (and do) wail. Basically, all the women featured on today’s show are bad-asses. So hit the “download” button, call your mom and tell her you love her, and enjoy the next hour of power.
