Keys N Krates, the Toronto based cutting edge electronic music powerhouse will be making a return to Portland on Friday, November 18 at The Roseland Theatre presented by Double Tee Concerts! Having just released a new EP, Midnight Mass, Keys N Krates continues to demonstrate their musical genius with tracks that can’t help but make you move with dope beats, big drops and lyrical hooks that still have the capacity to tell a story and fill the space with emotion.

Originally a live hip hop band featuring acapella rhymes, it’s easy to hear this background influence in both their beats and lyrical decisions. Still, Keys N Krates brings an absolutely unique style and sound to the world of live electronic based music by artfully blending sounds and feels from genres such as trap, DnB, bass, house and even indie-electro pop. Keys N Krates somehow has found a way to combine and evolve these sounds into a collaborative musical endeavor that utilizes many seemingly basic sounds and instruments from these different genres into a series of stunning EP’s with their latest, Midnight Mass, featuring a hauntingly beautiful single, There’s Nothing but Space (ft. Aqui), with an equally striking and artistic music video.

After having sold out The Roseland back in March and coming off a jam-packed summer festival season, Keys N Krates on Friday, November 18 is sure to be one of the craziest dance shows this indoor season with a live performance which is above and beyond what most electronic acts bring to the stage. Keys N Krates live features live drumming, sampling/remixing, scratching and from time to time live lyrics. Be sure to come early for a stellar lineup of openers including KRNE, Branchez and Deafmind.
