FOXTRAX // FFO: Barns Courtney, The Shelters, Lewis Del Mar, BANNERS

Through the month of May, FOXTRAX will be on tour in support of Barns Courtney and stopping by Portland’s Star Theater. Their show is on May 6, doors open at 9pm, music starts at 10pm, and is a 21 and over show. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10, here.

Nearly a year ago emerging indie/rock trio FOXTRAX released their cleverly named debut EP The Cabin (listen to it here). Their EP and band name was inspired by a trip the band took to North Carolina. The band was staying at a cabin  in hopes of finding musical inspiration. The band found a trail of fox tracks in the snow, leading them to their name and their saying: “follow your foxtrax.”

The band and their sound is often described as organic and unique, seamlessly mixing classic rock and modern indie pop to create something new and unfamiliar. The result of the bands hard work and sound is of course The Cabin EP, in which motivating lyrics, intricate instrumentals and pop anthem-like choruses allow FOXTRAX to effortlessly blend together and switch between genres.
