We had a chance to sit down and discuss their roots and exactly what growth has led up to Fine Animal and why they are so fine! We got to hear a sneak peak about their live performance experience prior to their debut at What The Festival 2017 at Wolf Run Ranch!

Formed in Columbus, OH in 2015, dream pop outfit Fine Animal are starting to make noise in their newfound home, the burgeoning Portland underground. Consisting of “circuit-bender” Kelan Gilbert and “key-pusher” Lucy Oaks, the band saw notable success with their debut LP, Before the Glow.

The album was a jelled demonstration of sleek rhythms & delicate melodies that caught the attention of numerous publications and fellow artists. It even secured the duo notable opening spots for RATATAT, Mr. Twin Sister, Zola Jesus, Small Black and BATHS. Recently, Before the Glow was the user-selected album of the month for Feedbands Vinyl Club in October of 2016.
