Mat The Alien currently resides on Vancouver Island as a B.C. based producer, DJ, and event promoter. Rooted in the UK Mat emigrated to Canada as an “alien” where he eventually got his name Mat The Alien from a good friend Vinyl Ritchie. Having been involved in the dance music scene since the late 80’s, Mat The Alien has had the opportunity to evolve and grow with the times and is now a Pacific NorthWest dance music legend! You can catch Mat The Alien touring all over Canada, The West Coast and around USA as well. His love for snow-sports leads him to spend most of his time (on Earth at least) around the snowy mountains shredding and feeling the flow of the snow below.
If you are lucky enough to attend the 20th anniversary of Shambhala you can catch Mat The Alien at The Pagoda Stage and at an opening B2B set with his good friend and Learning to Grow alumni, The Librarian at The Amphitheater Stage.
