A tribute to our friend Jim Boyer
Written by Randy Black on January 25, 2016
As many of you know, last Thursday we lost Jim Boyer. Jimmy was a great musician, a phenomenal guitar player, a soulful singer, and an insightful songwriter. He was also one of the sweetest, most generous people you’d ever meet, and maybe a person not really meant for this world.
I’m going to play a good chunk of a show by the Jim Boyer Band almost exactly two years ago, Jan. 30, 2014, at the Laurelthirst Public House. I want to thank my friend Greg Fuller for recording this show and sharing it with us. I’m going to get the announcements out of the way, then Jimmy will introduce the show.
