Currently on their Northern Lights Tour, Zeds Dead made a stop at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR on November 4th. The electronic duo from Toronto is touring to promote their new rad album Northern Lights. Accompanied by openers Blout and Big Wild, the night was set up to be an electronic music lovers paradise. Originally Oshi was set to be an opener for the tour but dropped out due to personal reasons.

Personally I was most excited to see Big Wild, and he definitely did not disappoint. With probably the most luscious hair I’ve ever seen and a laid back vibe, it’s hard not to love Big Wild. He played all of his best tracks and introduced his newest one “Invincible” which was released only a month ago. I totally think Big Wild was the perfect opener for the audience to start dancing before Zeds Dead came on.

After a late start, Zeds Dead finally came on stage around 10:30 p.m. A huge part of being at an electronic concert is expecting to see great lights, and that’s what we got at Zeds Dead. That combined with their smoke and fog machines made for an awesome show. They played for us all of their new tracks, including fan favorites “Blame” and “Frontlines”. It was pretty obvious from the looks on everyone’s faces how stoked they were to be there. The electronic scene in Portland is growing and Zeds Dead brought the community together.

Zeds Dead is on tour until the end of the year. Check out when they’re coming to a city near you here.
