What's This Called? – Top 13 Releases for 2012

Perhaps the world really is going to end in 2012, because only the Mayans could have prophesied that there would actually be enough damn fine recorded releases to come out this year that I am actually doing an “end of year” list. I think the last one I bothered to do was sometime around 2005? I dont deliberately avoid new releases, but they have been avoiding me in recent years, but this year is different! (Although my top pick was still recorded in 1985, so maybe not that much has changed).
