Ready for some explosive rock from Reading, UK? Lucky you! The Amazons are coming to Portland, playing Polaris Hall this Saturday, Feb. 22nd in support of Dirty Honey from Los Angeles. As lead-singer Matt put it: “We realised we’re a rock’n’roll band. It might not be cool or make us millions, but it’s what works for the four of us.”

The Amazons:
Chris Alderton, Matt Thomson,
Elliot James Briggs, Josef Emmett

The self-titled debut album The Amazons took the band straight to the top 10 in the UK album charts. Following that success, The Amazons had some time to reflect on their own style. As Matt explains: “it struck home how much we’d changed as a band. Not only how much better we’ve become as musicians, but in how we now know what we want to say sonically and lyrically.”

All that led to a bang of a sophomore LP Future Dust, released in May 2019. Are you excited to see how their sound projects to a vibrant live experience? Then come over to Polaris hall on Saturday to check them out!
