A$AP Ferg is a true lyrical artist. He has managed to pack a whole lot of different styles of music into his rap game ranging from house to dubstep to hiphop and all in one sitting.

Just scrolling through his sound cloud shows you what he is capable of. He is a true master of his craft.

One song that immediately caught my eye was “Hungry Ham”…

Skrillex is an all around great producer but the beat truly is in the electronic style and just listening to the song proves the skill A$AP Ferg has as a lyricist. He also has collaborated with Schoolboy Q, Future, and Big Sean.

Being part of the A$AP Mob crew he is one of the founding original members. His music could be described as alternative rap but I would say he dabbles in many different genres.┬áHe started rapping at a young age in high school with influences such as Zani. He is very closely tied to A$AP Rocky and were going to be the deep-mob duo called A$AP Rab but found more luck as solo artists. Their track ‘Shabba’ was a track that attracted a lot of love from any hip hop fans out there. A$AP Ferg recently released his album ‘Always Strive And Prosper’ which was an absolute hit. He instantly attracted a crowd from the very beginning of his career. Starting out in Harlem, he hooked up with A$AP Rocky and soon became a huge MC in the area. They would go around and do rap battles everywhere in Harlem. He started rapping at a young age in high school with influences such as Zani and said he used to right a sort of poetry before he got into rap.

Check out this short interview with A$AP ferg here:

He also started a clothing line in Harlem that was a pretty big success. Traplord.com features a lot of his apparel if you wanted to scope some of that action. Overall this is one of the bigger artists in the game right now and someone who brings a lot of great power on to the stage. Starting out as a poetry slammer in high school to a beat slayer nowadays it is quite a show to watch live.

One song that everyone would recognize would be the ‘New Level ft Future’ but I wanted to tap into the other track on the album

A$AP Ferg has a lot of deep lyrics that really strike at the heart of anybody. His song tatted angels was a true poetic experience. I will leave you with this last track.
