Northwest String Summit goes Virtual; Hides out at Home!
Written by Ned Tilbrook on July 13, 2020
This weekend, the Pacific Northwest’s annual festival of bluegrass, indie, funk, jam roack and more is back – in safe, socially distanced manner. The eighteen year-old festival, which usually takes place in North Plains, OR, will offer three nights eclectic live streamed shows mixing archived sets from previous years as well as new and live offerings. This ‘Hiding Out at Home’ offering will run from July 17th-19th and features Portland favorites Fruition.
Other artists playing include Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, and Del & Dawg, among many others. Though live music is surely still a big miss, such a line-up (in full below) promises to at least alleviate the burning hole that such experiences left when they were so safely yanked away.
