New tUnE-yArDs Album Joining the KPSU Rotation Tuesday!!!!
Written by Shay Davis on April 14, 2011
One of the most interesting bands I caught at SXSW was New England’s tUnE-yArDs, a group based around the vocal stylings and ukelele mastery of one Merril Garbus. Drawing comparisons to outfits like Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective, tUnE-yArDs are a force to be reckoned with. The new record, W H O K I L L, is pop genius, juxtaposing beautiful pop hooks with some of the most challenging and experimental mechanics one could hope to put in their ear holes. Check out the video for Bizness, the first single of the upcoming album, and tune in to KPSU next week to hear more goodness from the record.
