Neon Trees @ Wonder Ballroom June 7th

Written by on May 21, 2015

You’ve likely heard Neon Trees, even if you don’t know it. In 2010, after the release of their first studio album Habits, their lead single “Animal” quickly became a pop-rock sensation. Formed by Tyler Glenn, and Chris Allen who both grew up in California, you can hear the Cali influences of sunkissed pop. But don’t let that fool you, hiding beneath the bright dancey pop tunes are lyrics that address real issues and struggles faced by frontman Glenn. Entertainment Weekly stated: “That mix of energy and insight makes Psychology a 40-minute master class in the kind of pop that moves both the body and the brain.”

Now the band has returned with their third album titled Pop Psychology, which includes the hit song “Sleeping With A Friend” that is sure to get you dancing, and feeling good.

Neon Trees are doing an intimate 2015 tour. They will be playing at Wonder Ballroom on Sunday, June 7th. Tickets and Information can be found here.

I am super pumped for this show, and can’t wait to see my 9th grade dreams come true. Habits was one of my favorite albums of 2010, and Neon Tree’s releases are only getting stronger and more developed as they continue to grow as a band. You can listen to more songs by Neon Trees here, or you can follow them on Instagram and see how Tyler Glenn’s hair is always on point.
