Jeremy Wilson Foundation/Lynn Conover Benefit Concert
Written by Randy Black on August 24, 2014
Hey friends — I’m sure you know that working musicians tend to be uninsured and can have devastating financial problems after a major illness or injury. The Jeremy Wilson Foundation is a local group that works to help local musicians with their medical bills.
Jeremy Wilson, from the Dharma Bums, started it after he had a bout with heart problems. It now has a number of ways you can help. Find out more at thejwf.org.
My friend Lynn Conover is having a second hip operation and the foundation is helping with a star-studded benefit concert at the Laurelthirst Public House on Aug. 31. You can find out more about the show at thejwf.org/category/events.
There’s also a live album that Lynn recorded with her band Gravel, along with Jim Boyer. If you’re interested you can get it for a donation to the JWF at http://thejeremywilsonfoundation.bandcamp.com/album/lynnefit-1-an-official-bootleg.
