Written by Sof E Uh on May 24, 2015
Imagine Dragons have definitely made a name for themselves after the release of their studio album “Night Visions” in 2012. The album reached no.1 on the Billboard alternative and rock album charts, and received a Billboard Award for Top Rock Album. You have likely heard the Album’s Single Radioactive, which exploded across the United States as well as other countries. Rolling Stone called it “the biggest rock hit of the year”.
The band didn’t stop there.
In 2014, they released their second album “Smoke + Mirrors”, which includes the singles I Bet My Life, Gold, and Shots.
Driven with influences like Arcade Fire and Muse, Imagine Dragons have created a sound much like their name. Creative, compelling, and innovative.
Imagine Dragons are kicking off their WORLD TOUR right here in Portland. They will be performing at The Moda Center on Wednesday June 3rd with opening act Metric. Tickets and information can be found here.
Metric is a Canadian rock band that began in 1998 and includes lead vocalist Emily Haines. Their album “Synthetica” won a Juno Award in 2013 for Alternative Album of the Year and includes the hit Youth Without Youth.
Metric’s rock driven by a strong female voice creates an entrancing sound that is sure to cast a spell on you.
Imagine Dragons and Metric coming together for a tour means that this will surely be a concert to remember.
