Written by Randy Black on August 18, 2014
Hey friends – If you like your music old, be sure to tune in to Viking Twang at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, on your college radio, KPSU. I’ll be playing a set of 1920s string-band music from Uncle Dave Macon, Charlie Poole, Gid Tanner and the Skillet Lickers, and Riley Puckett, among others. Plus, a cowboy music set with Bob Wills, the Sons of the Pioneers, and Marty Robbins, and great country music from Jimmy Martin, Dolly Parton, and Portland’s Caleb Klauder. Viking Twang is live at 11 a.m. Tuesday, and streaming any time at kpsu.org. Write me at [email protected] for listening! – Randy Black
