At first blush someone who is unfamiliar with kirtan may dismiss my show as an ordinary show; but this show has a very specific mission. That mission is to share with everyone the joy which can be experienced from mantra meditation, the songs on my program feature predominantly Sanskrit lyrics and chants. Whether you are simply listening to the music or chanting along there are lasting benefits for your physical body and soul as well.

The Bhakti-yoga Club will host a free vegetarian dinner at Food for Thought Cafe (1825 SW Broadway) with live bhajan style chanting on Sat. June 30 from 5-8 pm... Food = really good Indian fare. Stop by!

His Holiness Prahladananda Swami will be on my radio show on Friday, June 29 at 7 am. His Holiness will speak about mantra meditation, which he has practiced for nearly 40 years. In addition to being an expert on this topic he gives instruction on Ayurveda, Jyotish astrology, Iyengar yoga and Vedic literature such as the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.
