Capping off a month of Halloween Audio Treats, today's show was a marathon hosted by myself and Ricardo Wang entitled, "How's It Named? Two-Hour Spook-Tacular!" Veterans of the Halloween Music scene, we pulled out all the stops to bring you a variety of sounds new and old, all guaranteed to scare the pants off of the public radio listening audience. While we are often involved in each other's shows fairly often, this was a good chance to combine our efforts and yield some excellent (and terrifying) results. Of course, the final judge is none other than you, the listener.
In all my years on the radio, this is the first time I've done a show on Halloween. Which is funny, because I'm such a fan of the holiday. So for this show, I made a concerted effort to bring you music I've never before played in honor of this special occasion. Ricardo helped tremendously, as our tastes overlap in a variety of unpredictable ways. I think it is safe to say that we managed to create a show that will appeal to fans of both shows, while containing flavors and modes that are decidedly unique in and of themselves. While a few of the transitions are off, the whole thing works as a unified whole for those looking for something to bump tonight at the shindig of your choice.
Thanks for you patience through this holiday season, and stay tuned for more seasonal madness as we move into the end of the year. The Grumpy Punk will definitely make an appearance, along with all sorts of sounds you've come to know and love. Bwhahahahahahahah!
See you in seven.
