College Collage is just that: A mixture of indie, alternative, and college rock, and whatever other label you’d like to slap on it. I play just about anything interesting from the last 30+ years, as well as CMJ (College Music Journal) picks. I’m always looking for unique stuff and found gems too! I think music should be accessible and understood, and a little information is always nice too, so track and label information is discussed as well. Come and listen at 10-12 PM on Monday evenings!

GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT

6:00pmWednesday

6:00pmWednesday

The Geo Dept Show is a podcast and music based free form unedited hour from my world. It originated as a geography based hip hop/rap show with music from many regions, eras, and styles. It was an attempt to highlight geographic diversity in hip-hop music and how where an artist grew up is felt in the music. But it evolved into include guests, topics of discussion, other music genres and more. Viewer discretion is advised. Nothing that is said on air or in the music on this show is condoned or a representation of myself, Portland State University, or KPSU. It is all about the freedom of expression through art, storytelling, and discussion with a place based aspect to each show. All songs featured on every episode feature the name of the all important producer, to the best of my knowledge where the artist grew up, and the year and name of an album of the release.

1:00pmSaturday

Hey KPSU listeners! my name is Shakeryha also known as Dj Keryha. I’ am a Junior at PSU studying communications. I’ ve always been a fan of sports, especially the NBA and when I first heard the opportunity of being a radio Dj on KPSU I was excited to get started. My hopes and dreams are to one day become a sports anchor where I can talk about basketball and show my passion for sports broadcasting. I’ am also a huge fan of music which is another reason why I wanted to become a radio Dj. Some of my favorite genres of music include 90’s Classic R&B, Hip-Hop, and Soul music. On my podcast, “Coolin’ It With Dj Keryha” I bring to you a variety of sports talk, current events, and guest interviews while introducing some of my favorite songs by my favorite artists. I hope my listeners will enjoy my show and I look forward to giving you all something new and different each week!
