The House of Sarcasm #15 – Old Portland ’80s/’90s Grunge/Punk/Rock

Today I played a bunch of old-school Portland punk, rock, grunge, and alternative type stuff, in honor of tonight’s sold-out Melvins show!  Bands that influenced the Melvins, such as the Wipers, and bands they may have influenced, such as…lots of bands!

Here are some events going on this weekend:

Today at the Enchanted Forest!  Wyrd War record release with Danava and Jenny Don’t and the Spurs.  This show is sold out but there is a stand-by list.  If you’ve never been to the Enchanted Forest, which my friend Rachel aka DJ Stonebunny calls “our local haunted + aesthetically deranged children’s amusement park,” you definitely should.

Tonight at the Twilight: Lucky Thirteens / Dead Friends / Girl Drink Drunks / Titty Babies

Tomorrow!  Tickets are still available for Poison Idea / The Accused A.D. / Dog Soldier at Bossanova Ballroom.
