The Shins Concert Review

Concert date:
May 6, 2009

Location

Crystal BallroomPortland, OR
United States

Review:

The Shins currently have new band members but same style. With new songs, I am feeling optimistic about The Shins new direction with music. They're a fun band to watch, and it's more fun knowing they live in Portland. The frequently talked about Powell's during the show. Overall The Shins are still getting out the kinks with the new members, but overall the presences their old members are not known/felt.

Review:

And on the 8th day, God said "Let there be massive riffage in the Psychedelic Trance" and S.U.N. Project were born.

It's hard to believe that S.U.N. Project have been banging their anthemic version of Metal Acid Trance for 13 years and 10 albums. I have always been a fan of the over-the-top energy that builds the S.U.N. Project world and I am so very happy that they have just released their most amazingly fun and exciting album since Macrophage back in 1998.

Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy

Artist:
Guns N' Roses
Review:

Did you get your free Dr. Pepper?
I did.
Three times.

The journey to get Chinese Democracy was a wonderful journey and provided the proper backdrop for the album to become what it has become. It is one of the few times where I can honestly say, 'It's about the journey, not the destination.'

Is This Music?

Genre:
Everything
on KPSU Program Schedule Sunday 12-1pm.

Is this Music? is a radio show On KPSU 1450 AM that defies the laws of nature and sound, conversely the sounds of nature and the nature of sound, space and even, time. The forces at work behind this epic eclipse of noise are more mighty than even the mightiest sword and dwarf the combined magical powers of Ronnie James Dio and JRR Tokken
