The melodic and rhythmic versatility of Freddie’s music continues to evolve in his new album, Automatic. Starting the show with the albums opening track, he brings a more harmonic performance style than we have come to expect. That said, the intense and deeply emotional nature of this song ties in well with Freddie’s earlier work. The performance was intense, and at the same time uplifting. There seems to be a sense of reality playing into the character Freddie performs. Whether or not he lives a thug lifestyle I wouldn’t know, but his music feels personal and because of that feels incredibly exciting. I would attend another of his shows in a heart beat, this had to be one of the best live performances I have ever experienced. G Perico and Caleb Brown gave excellent performances as well, check out Caleb Brown’s ‘Safe House Vol. 1’ out now on iTunes.
