Indigo Blues Hour: Boogie Bone, KC Brass & Electric, Big Al Carter

Portland is fortunate in the respect that it is loaded not only with musical talent in general but has a fantastic blues scene as well. The artists played on Saturday's show were diverse in their styles but still embodied the same tone and feel that the blues is known for.
If you liked the incredibly charged sounds of Boogie Bone you can see them live, as they will be opening for Rick Estrin and the Nightcats at the Roseland Grill on May 15th, doors open at 7:00 p.m.They are also regulars at the hottest blues ticket in town: The open blues jam session at the Mt.Tabor Legacy on Monday nights starting at 8:30 p.m.
KC Brass & Electric incorporate Dave Duffield's smooth cornet playing with a lively, funky touch that only they can deliver. You can check out more of their music by visiting their my space page at www.myspace.com/daveduffield.
Big Al Carter's vocals resonate a traditional blues quality coupled with a modern flair on the music. He will playing at the Gemini Bar and Grill in Lake Oswego on May 2nd at 9:00 p.m.
